Description:
Furaginum Hasco MAX is used to treat acute and recurrent uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections in people over 15 years of age.
Action and properties:
Furaginum Hasco Max is an over-the-counter drug that contains furazidine as an active substance. This is a stronger version of Furaginum Hasco, because one tablet contains twice as much active substance - 100 mg. Furazidine is a nitrofuran derivative that has an inhibitory effect on the growth of bacteria that are responsible for causing urinary tract infections. It has an effect on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
Application/Indications:
Furaginum Hasco Max is a drug indicated for the treatment of acute and recurrent uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections in people over 15 years of age.
Ingredients:
The active substance of the drug is furazidine (Furazidinum), also called furagine. 1 tablet contains 100 mg of furazidine.
The other ingredients (excipients) are: gelatinized corn starch, sucrose, colloidal anhydrous silica, stearic acid 50.
Furaginum Hasco Max dosage:
Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age: First day of treatment: 100 mg (1 tablet) 4 times a day; next days: 100 mg (1 tablet) 3 times a day.
The drug should be taken orally with meals containing protein, which increases the absorption of furazidine.
The break line allows the tablet to be divided into two equal doses.
The medicine is used for 7-10 days.
If symptoms worsen or do not improve after this time period, please see your doctor.
If necessary, the treatment can be repeated after 10-15 days.
Contraindications:
Furaginum Hasco Max should not be used:
- If you are allergic to furazidine, nitrofuran derivatives or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- In the first three months of pregnancy;
- During full-term pregnancy (from the 38th week) and childbirth, due to the risk of hemolytic anemia (anemia associated with the breakdown of red blood cells) in the newborn,
