Description:
Espumisan is an anti-flatulent capsule used to reduce excessive gas in the stomach and relieve the symptoms of stomach discomfort, abdominal pain, and flatulence. It may also be used prior to an endoscopic or radiologic examination to eliminate gas from the stomach and enhance visualization.
Dosage:
Espumisan is usually taken on an as-needed basis.
School-age children and adults: 1-4 capsules per day, maximum dose for adults is 6 caps. In preparing patients for diagnostic tests within the abdominal cavity: on the day preceding the survey - 2 capsules in the evening 3 times a day and the morning of the examination - 2 capsules. In case of poisoning with surfactants, depending on the severity of the poisoning,
Children: 2 -10 capsules, adults: 10-20 capsules. It must be taken during or after a meal and, if necessary, before bedtime, treatment should be continued until resolution of symptoms, the espumisan may be taken for a longer period of time.
If you are on a scheduled dosing regimen, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Ingredients:
The active substance is simetocon (sime-ticone)
One soft capsule of Espumisan contains 40 mg of simethicone
Possible Side Effects:
Espumisan capsules are well tolerated. However, like all other substances it may cause an allergic reaction. If you are experiencing symptoms of an allergy, such as: redness, swelling of the face, swelling of the tongue, difficulty breathing, loose stools, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth and chills contact your doctor immediately.
Cautions:
